We’re moving to the second part, “Changes”, where we’ll expand on some of the questions and introduce the changes we’ve come up with.
…
First of all, class issues.
Some of you, especially mages, have been inventing new spells.
We’re not against that. Getting just the class skills is dumb and we’re aware of that.
However, that’s what the skillbooks are for.
You can found them in the dungeons or, if you’re lucky, get blueprints for them from any of the rare and above level monsters.
That’s where the artisan classes shine in, crafting!
So I’m not alone, huh?
Would be weird if I was the only one creating stuff…
Depending on a class, various artisans are needed to craft a skillbook, weapon, orb or something else that contains the desired skill.
Many said items contain hidden skills that activate upon special action.
Some are good, others are disastrous in effect.
That’s how life is, can’t have everything be good…
‘Skillbooks. That’s something that will definitely sell well. Got to look for those, if I get some free time.’
Anyways, use these crafted items wisely.
We’re getting off topic.
Class skills.
So, people were creating their own skills.
To keep the equilibrium, we’ve decided to make them 50% effective.
That’s restraining, but, if you were to master the skill, you’re able to use it at 75% efficiency!
Is that really the reason…? I think there’s something else behind it.
I wonder what it is…
100% skill efficiency and more are reserved for the skillbooks!
These books will be rare and fought for!
Normally, we wouldn’t divulge any secrets, but for the sake of this update, our dev team has to.
There is another way to get your invented skill to work at 100% efficiency!
That is, to make it your original skill!
How, however, we’re not willing to tell you.
Explore the possibilites yourself, otherwise it won’t be fun!
You wouldn’t like to get everything on the silver platter, would you?!
My only two original skills are Cure poison and Water step.
Not to mention Cure poison became original one after evolving.
*sigh* I wish I had some more…
To top it off, you can evolve your skills.
For example, let’s take a fireball.
You’re casting one and think “yeah that’s great, it does a lot of damage”!
But what if that fireball had incendiary?
Your targets would be affected by burn, damaging them over time!
Wouldn’t such DoT be an awesome addition?!
Think of the possibilities!
My three-way shower does that. Checked.
Evolved skills can increase the efficiency to above 100%!
Keep that in mind!
Okay, that was the mage class example, now for the physical ones.
You’re an archer and you have a skill allowing you to entrap someone in a net.
What if that net used lightning element to additionally stun or paralyze your enemy?
Awesome, right?!
Sure, just give them everything they need to run away and pepper you with projectiles…
Let’s try it on one more.
Warrior class.
There’s a skill called [Mighty chop].
What it does is basically make you use a powerful, enhanced overhead swing.
Whether it is two handed axe or sword, use this as an example.
Fire attribute could make your enemy take more damage, DoT and have decreased health regen.
However, it would make him stop bleeding due to cauterization.
Lightning element could stun the enemy for a period of time, its duration depending on how deep the cut is.
Poor nervous system…
Wind element could make your axe or sword sharper, increasing the force of your swing, thus making the [Mighty chop] do more damage and cause more severe bleeding.
These are all things that one has to discover.
Hahaha, that’s such a ridiculous approach to the elemental system, but I like it.
One can choose whatever the hell element he wants for his skills, that’s making it fair for everyone.
No mage nor warrior can question this system.
Artisan classes, we’re very sorry, but we can’t let you know of these possibilities, as they are part of your hidden classes.
Yes, you have hidden ones too!
Consider this heads up as a little compensation.
Goodness gracious, if that Forger class was leaked I wouldn’t be able to buy anything off the market…
You don’t want to read farther?
Just grit your teeth and persevere!
Our developer team doesn’t like to make such announcements either… (especially me)
But, if we don’t, you’ll be complaining later, so focus!
It will be worth it. We promise…
Yeah, yeah, just go on.
So, exploiters are covered, evolved skills too, now to the complaints we’re receiving.
“I’m a sailor, and even though I’m level 100, I can’t pass through “this and that area”.”
That’s our fault.
No need to be so alarmed, we were simply updating monsters and treasure islands.
You wouldn’t like to suddenly swim into a blackhole, would you…?
After this update, you’ll be able to take your ship wherever you want.
Please, beware of the dangers, as in the open waters, there are monsters exceeding level 1000.
What we want to say is that you shouldn’t travel the world far and wide recklessly.
Take precautions.
I so want to get a ship and wreck some kids, being all “ARRRR I am a pirate”!
There’s so much stuff to do here, in the dungeon area that I won’t have a break for the next… who knows how long… *sigh*
There have been rumors about a player killing 50 others, even though they were higher leveled, all in one skill.
Then these rumors have proven to be true, not to mention that this certain player, Icicle Whitesnow, has been continuosly surprising us, time after time.
We would like to officially say, that this player is not a hacker.
…wait, I’m famous?
After a round of positive feedback on the first page on one of the forums, we thought that players actually appreciate this guy.
What followed astounded us.
There were so many hateful comments, both towards the player and our company, accusing us, the developers, of helping this certain adventurer.
Some people went as far as sending us hate mails…
I presume infamous would be a better word to use here…
Not only Acquare thinks I am special it seems…
To be perfectly clear.
We didn’t support anyone. Nor will we ever support.
No endorsement has been given, even to the children of the CEO.
Don’t accuse us of such things without any proof, becuase next time you will be permamently banned.
Trust us, we won’t tolerate such insults.
Me and the developers team haven’t worked our asses off to be insulted and vilified.
Our company’s open to discussions, but not to clear as day slander.
Make sure to have some sort of proof before you start spouting bullshit.
Damn, Mike is mad.
Don’t piss off Mike guys, he’ll torture you with unwanted messages…
We may be angry about the whole incident, but it still needs clarifying.
To respect this player’s privacy, we won’t share any details, expect the general information.
For those of you that have watched the video Icicle’s a star in, you most likely know about some of this stuff, but we want to share it with the others.
Icicle’s class and subclass combination is superb, that’s why his abilities are so strong.
Not to mention, he’s the chosen one of the water deity…
Why don’t you tell them about the sex I had with a Naga too, hm…?
Jesus, what a retard.
It’s not like Icicle’s damage is high or anything.
On the opposite, it’s extremely low.
But, if you have around 3x damage multiplier, that changes things…
This infamous player’s strength doesn’t lie in damage, but in crowd control.
One can say he’s a Crowd Control master.
If we rank players statwise, there’s no one exceeding Icicle in pure numbers.
He trained and trained, and trained some more.
Have some respect for the guy, because he’s actually trying to become a force to be reckoned with.
Thanks for the compliments, Mike, but for fucks sake, you’ve told these scrubs more than enough…
There will always be someone powerful, someone who has found a way to utilise his strength to its utmost.
Don’t blame us for that, it’s YOU, who need to be creative and seize the opportunities!
In the boundaries of the rules, of course.
DO NOT HACK!
“My 8 man party has been annihilated by a mage who ambushed us. Why are their AoE spells so strong?!”
This is something that we have feared.
It’s not that mages’ skills are too strong, it’s the ambush mechanic.
Basically, ambush makes your damage amplify x2.
Top it off with mage’s equipment, attribute amplifier, staff and high intelligence stat, and boom.
All of you are dead.
Casual day from mage’s journal, nothing special to see here.
Well, if you had magic resistance, you wouldn’t die, at least not in one skill, but there’s no way you can get these items with high enough stat this early in the game.
What this means, is that we have to take drastic measures.
God, please no…
To all the mages, we’re very sorry, but some of your “kind” have decided to ruin the game for others.
Your early game “power spike” will be heavily reduced.
From now on, every single mage adventurer is bound to the same laws as NPCs.
Physics, trajectory, mana manipulation, mana cultivation, magic mastery, all of these factors will matter now.
Just when I wanted to stop dealing with idiotic people, this happens. Can’t I have a fucking class that’s not nerfed every single time, because some retard can’t handle it?!
I swear to the God almighty, developers, if this tweak doesn’t have any buffs later on, I will find you and I will… have fun with you. Fufufufu~
It will be hard, we’re certain of that, but those of you that will persevere will be rewarded greatly.
When the late game content comes to ring a bell, you’ll be masters of your trades, capable of ruling over others once more!
To sum it up, mages are nerfed early in the game, but they do receive some decent buffs later on.
Now we’re talking! More opness in the lategame. Stats farming into powerlevel sounds like a plan to me. Let’s pray for not too much of a nerf…
Those of you that don’t want to bother with that are free to respec, that is change your class for another one, for the following week in real life.
All the stats will be reallocated appropriately to your new class.
Good, good, make less people mages, it will be easier to kill all these warriors and archers.
Moving on.
Good news for rogue players.
Some of your stealth related techniques were not using the ambush mechanic.
We’ve fixed that, from now on, you’ll be dealing additional damage, just as you were supposed to!
Time for thieves to shine… Hide your kids, hide your wives…
Another good news, this time for beginners!
We’re currently almost three and a half months in the game, that makes it slightly over a month real time!
Most of the people who have started playing since day one left the Starting Area.
New players are at a disadvantage for starting late, but, as it’s not our fault, don’t expect any buffs…
That’s my boy Mike!
All we’re providing you with is a Beginner Guide!
It’s posted on our website, you can check where the stores are, who rules the town, where you can find your class mentors, where exactly is the dungeon and so on.
We’ve included tips on how to check your equipment, stats, and skills too!
There’s much more, check it out if you’re confused about anything in the game.
Nothing for me here…
If there’s something still missing, send us a support ticket on our website, we’ll try to help you out however we can!
With the mages nerf, we’re slightly changing the party system.
Instead of having 8 people in a party, you can now have up to 12 individuals!
This rule of a thumb has an exception.
Dungeons.
Some are special and can allow up to several hundred players in one party.
Many of you definetely know these kinds of gatherings as raids.
Double-check the dungeons’ info before blindly entering!
Twelve people? Wow, so you’re making it easier for these goddamn idiots who powerleveled to do it some more.
12 vs 1 monster fight, what a joy.
No, it’s not a boss, it’s just a rare monster! Let’s gangbang it…!
If it was done for efficient hunting, I would understand, but most of these guys can’t even solo one of the normal monsters.
I’m talking about battle classes, not priests and supports.
Talking about dungeons, here is something else that will influence them.
Seasons,
There weren’t any, but now you can all enjoy your spring, summer, autumn and winter!
While we’re sure you’re ready for the awesome events that will follow this change, we would like to warn you!
Some of the vile creatures residing in the dungeons change their locations quite often…
What it means is that even if you own a dungeon, depending on a season it may be completely different monster and level range!
Our developers team is confident in this innovation.
Several of you will hate us for it, tiny bit of you will appreciate it and others will just embrace it!
Whatever group you’re in, prepare for the changes, who knows, maybe you’ll find something really… valuable.
Christmas, here we go…!
On a serious note, this really allows for some extraordinary events to happen without making it cringeworthy.
Well played devs.
Gamers 1:1 Developers.
Along with the changing seasons, we’re introducing “senses”.
Few areas were completely empty, as in no smell, hearing various monsters’ and insects noises were limited or not audible at all, that kind of stuff.
From now on, everyone will be able to enjoy this world we have created thoroughly.
This change makes it possible for battle senses to be hightened, take that into account.
So that’s how we’re supposed to adjust to these high-speed techniques.
Sounds reasonable to me…
Following the seasons and dungeons changes, we would like to announce an events change!
Not many of you have happened to stumble upon an ongoing event in the dungeon, so we’ll explain.
To spice up the game a little, our dev team has decided to add random events inside the aforementioned dungeons!
These can include rush hours, as in more monsters spawning, experience bonuses, drop bonuses and… battles.
What do we mean by battles…
Well, large strongholds ready to be defended or an army of monsters preparing to attack such stronghold!
Some of these events will let you participate as an offensive or defensive party, others will require you to steal some item from one or both of the sides.
There’s a “prevent something from happening” scenario too.
Had one in Desolated Catacombs, would be awesome to stumble upon some more.
I love sieges! So much experience and items to be had!
If an artisan class stumbles upon this kind of event, there will be a need for you to construct siege weapons, armors, arrows, swords, bows, houses, palisade, enchant some equipment, mine the necessary resources and many, many others.
Events don’t have to comply with your class. Keep that in mind.
Finally someone will share my misery. Good job devs.
Now listen closely, I know this sounds fun and interesting and all… but there’s this one little thing.
These two battling sides can turn on you.
Please, we’re serious, please make sure that these monsters are not hostile first.
We don’t want you to be surprised at the sudden development of events…
Come on, what can happen?
You’re an engineer, devising a catapult for orcs, after succesfully completing your project, you’re asked for assistance.
Then these powerful creatures sit you up in your invention and fire your ass over to the walls to test if it’s working.
Just a random thought…
Moving on to something a lot of you have been waiting for!
Status changes!
Now your status will only display your name.
If you want to show your level and class to everyone, only to your guild or just to your party, you can now opt to do so!
Another thief buff. Holy shit, am I really going to see scout classes dominate the game?
Or rogues, whatever the hell these ones are in Loiterous…
Wait a second… that net change, making you stunned and shit, what if it was applicable to the throwing knives?!
I was poisoned by one of Quan’s, if it was a stun, holy shit…
Dear developer you’re one ingenious son of a gun!
Buffing your class without anyone noticing… fufufu!
You had better hope we never meet, sneaky guy~!
There have been some complaints regarding this whole “reveal” thing.
Do you want to roleplay as an NPC?
Feel free to do so, we won’t hinder you.
In your stealth covered efforts, make sure to follow the rules.
Yup, this confirms it, someone from the dev team is definitely a rogue player.
Nice job covering it up with an “update” mate. 10/10.
I’ll still wreck you if you try to rob me though.
No mercy even for fancy people.
Finishing up with the last one of the current changes.
One of our most dire concerns, map of the continent.
We’ll provide you with one on our website.
Overall layout will be shown there, don’t expect details, these are for you to discover!
Map of the continent, huh? Not like I really need it, as I’m restrained to this dungeon area for a while, but might as well check it later.
That’s all for this part, the next one, “Terms of use and possible dangers” coming right up!
