Hello everyone. So far there seems to be positive receptions for this series (around 2-4 but hey I’m not complaining.) I’m still new to all of this so if you do enjoy the chapter then do write a comment about it. I really enjoy reading comments, it shows that people are generally interested in our work.

Hi.. We’re back we’re back.. This is he long awaited writing clinic.. Not that my writing skill is good but at least there is a will to help you improve right? Hahaha…

The topic for our second class is

Gentyle.. Ups sorry for the bad pun but yeah it was Gentyle.. Genre and style hahahaha…

First thing to consider when writing your story is the genre and style.. Style is a bit tricky since Indonesian language which I’m native at, doesn’t have a past tense grammar so it was kind of hard sometines..

Genre, was very broad thing to defines.. Your story can have multiple genre or focuses on one but please don’t stray too far.  For example fantasy story may have comedy in it but when too much was put in, it wasn’t a fantasy story anymore.. For example, summoned hero is a comedy genre story with a bith of ecchi.. Yes it have fantasy but it was only a part of it..

So you may have a thing to keep in mind.. What kind of story genre will your writing be? Just letting it flow without deciding on one genre will makes it deviate from the main goal..

Secondly,  style..

Styles can be divided greatly, grammar and point of view or POV are one of it.. It can greatly changes the quality of your novel..

If you notice, many great authors used past tense for their writing style and third person narrative and descriptive language.. This is by far the style of the best selling book..

Light novels tend to use first person and a mix of present and past tense since it was to get the reader get immersed in the character way of thinking..

So, either using first person or third person it was your choice.. For example master of dungeon is written on third person and boring reincarnation on first person.. Can you see the difference?

Grammar, well I’m not going to explain a lot about this since mine was bad so I put extra burden to the editor on the site.. Hahaha.. But nowdays there are grammar checking tools.. If only I have my pc or laptop, grammarly maybe one of my choice, word also provides some basic grammar correction..

And since this class a bit short.. I will accept question and answer them.. Hahaha.. Please feel free to comment..
