Even though I was missing for some time in the jungle and didn’t do regular updates,  I was so shocked to realized that we have reached 1.000.000+ views this month!!

Amazing! It’s all thanks to you guys who supported us..

Next is my rant corner.. And today’s menu is about donation and monetizing issue..

I was just reading trough a couple of friends page and sure they were making a 80$ / 60$/ 30$ per extra chapter they release for translation and I was like

I don’t mind about donation and donating for then.. Really, we do writing / translating because we like it and getting few bucks from it was relly appealing.. It doesn’t bothered me since the quality of their release was superior but I was hoping they remember that the reason they start doing this is because they want to share the wonderful world of the LN or WN they read to the people..

It just give me a sour taste when they forget why they are doing this in the first place, and fall deep into greed. And sure our site is one of those crazy site where we don’t take donation for translation and focused more on our original works..

We trying hard to get in into wordads because it won’t hinder you guys reading experience altough we still haven’t been accepted.. And if in some way we gone wrong in the process, we will never resort to moving our site and getting ads which will cause you more harm than goods. That’s why we also tried to keep our site clean and load faster than any other site. Except for the background image which took longer to load, I think our site is one of the fastest to load site because we don’t put flashy ads everywhere (except the one from wordpress which we gain nothing from it that’s why we applied for wordads which will give us something from it)  and if it doesn’t concerned you that much, in my country Indonesia where internet was far from sufficient, it is clearly a blessing to have a site loaded a few seconds faster.

Of course I want to give something for those who helped me in this site and I was thankful enough for them to understand that we are basically a “free” site. So maybe in the near future our donation page will undergo some changes where there is an option to give donation directly to editors who worked hard such as rambo and yui.. I even appreciate that someone from our list of author at home of original works even decided to not take donation or put donation from their works..

Honestly if we’re accepted by wordads and doing great we may even banished the concept of donation from our site. Just fyi last month we raised 30$ and 15$ for this month but who cares, we will still do it even if we only got 1-2$ a month since what we need is only 26$ a year to keep this site up.. We’re not one of those if you don’t give us donation we won’t release a chapter..

And yeah, people may have used their time to translate and we give donation as appreciation. However if it doesn’t turn out the way you hope for it, don’t force it..

The point of my rant is..

I was hoping we won’t see hundreds of new translations and translators appears and disappears just because they hoped for donation and it isn’t working well for them.. And don’t force your reader to donate ever! 

That’s it for my useless rants which the main point is the sentence above this one lol..

And sure, if you want to join us to translate, don’t expect getting a donation for extra release

If you are an author, feel free to come aboard with your own donation button but don’t expect anything since we’re doing badly on it

Lastly,  please hurry with the wordads v2 so we can start giving baked cookies to everyone who contributed in this community.. We may even offer prize money for contest winner lol if we really are getting revenue..

Ps: I even wondered how can we got 1 million reader this month where 700.000 found us from google search lol..
