Another world auction house prologue

(author note: yes, I know this is another project of mine… sorry for having so many unfinished series)

Monster Core, Monster materials, Legendary equipment, Cursed item, Rare loots, Unique miscellaneous goods. All different kinds of things can be gathered and found from inside the dungeon or from the wilderness. In this world where dangerous creatures lurking outside the cities, people are required to be strong. Strong enough to defend themselves and survive.

Adventurers, are what they called. They are brave warrior that is courageous enough to face danger. Slaying monster, exploring dungeon, escorting merchants, they are able to take on any request. All for the sake of human survival but most of all, for Gold.

Gold are able to be earned from defeating monster, finishing quest from the adventurer’s guild, harvesting medicinal herbs and many more. However the most profitable from them all is finding treasures from the dungeon. Finding the treasures itself isn’t very rewarding, but if it was sold, the amount of fortune they could gain is immeasurable.

Therefore, there is a place called auction house. The place where unique and antique items are all gathered, sold and most importantly, auctioned. If one get lucky, an item that is valued for one gold can be sold for ten gold. If the item was extremely rare, even a worthless looking sword can even be sold for ten million gold coins because it used to be a sacred sword held by a hero.

Among the Xenoria continent, there is a small auction house existed. This auction house is extremely famous. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover, that’s the perfect saying for this auction house. It was looking like a shabby shack as if it could fall down if a strong gust of wind moving by but even the wooden exterior was made from the highest grade Elven wood.

The name plate was engraved using melted Mithril, the window was made from a low grade diamonds. Even the door knob was made from pure Blood Sapphire. This auction house is located on the outskirts of the Xenoria kingdom capital however no monster are approached this place. There is a strong magic item that repelled monster from this place.

As why this auction house could exist, because the owner used to be one of the strongest adventurer in the world. The owner is one of the original hero party that defeated the sixth demon lord. One can only imagine how strong is the owner and going against him means death.

Because of that guaranteed safety, people start to bring rare item to this place and as times goes by, this place become the top spot to sell or buy item of the highest quality and rarity.

To enter this place, it is not an easy feat. For buyer, one should have a letter signed by the Xenoria kingdom king or ten signed letters by eight rank nobility or higher. For seller, they should have a recommendation letter from a seventh rank auction house at least.

Speaking of auction house rank, rank 1 and 2 are only able to sell items from 1 to 1000 gold. Rank 3 and 4 are able to sell or buy items up to 10000 gold. Rank 5 and 6 are able to do business on 100000 gold. Rank 7 and 8 limit is at 1000000 gold. Currently this place is the only rank 10 auction house with no other rank 9 auction house existed in Xenoria Kingdom. They are able to buy items and sold them without any limits to the price.

However not everyday business can be seen here. They are only open once a month for buyers and once a week for seller. It may not be looking good but the prestige and profits gained was unimaginable.

Even today, only two figures are seen walking towards the auction house. The shabby looking black shack couldn’t be imagined as a place that’s dealing in lots amount of gold.

Only those who can see the highest grade elven wood, low grade diamond for windows, blood sapphire as door knob and the melted mithril name plate can realized the real value of this place.

The shiny mithril name plate is dazzling under the sun light. It reveals the name of the most famous auction house, 『Heaven on Hell』.

As the two figure is walking towards the auction house. Today is the day it’s opened for those selling items.
