First I would like to say that i liked your modifications, if you are acepting suggestions I would recommend a little bit more information about their sacred grounds, if you got the latest áudio book of Overlord, i think you could something in the same fashion, that means, show the day to day activities, the maids or whatever, food, more NPC interactions, just as you have made in chap 4.
As for the fight I think others will stop it, since it will not bring any benefit.
