I was 5 years old now. I spent my days as usual. Everyday I went to the forest for a stroll and see the monsters. During my strolls I gained many skills surprisingly. My monster detection abilities turned into a skill called [Presence Perception]. Now I could easily detect monsters before they could detect me so I could easily avoid them. This ability also turned into a skill called [Presence Concealment]. Unless I am less than 1 meter away from someone, that person or monster can not perceive my presence. The most amazing part of this skill was that you didn’t need to hide somewhere. Even when you were at a open space and monsters or people could see you, it was like they couldn’t perceive you. It was like you were invisible. They were simply ignoring your presence. This was a cheat-like skill.

 

[Thought Acceleration] and [Calm Mind] skills were gained during my escapes from monsters. [Though Acceleration] was accelerating my thoughts when I was in danger as the name suggested and everything would seem like they have slowed down. It was a pity that I didn’t have any control over it. It was only activated when I was in danger. [Calm Mind] was calming my mind in the cases of danger and allow me to think more calmly.

 

[Sleeping] was a strange skill. I don’t even know why I acquired it. Its only effect was that it would make the sleeping more pleasant. You could sleep comfortably even though the place where you slept was not comfortable. Basically it was allowing you to have a comfortable and pleasant sleep under any circumstances. It was a useless skill.

 

[Hunger Endurance] was a convenient skill. Due to the low food consumption of mine, I was constantly hungry. It was quite troublesome. But luckily I gained this skill which allowed me to endure my hunger. Now I only feel a little uncomfortable when I am hungry. It isn’t painful at all. I am really glad that I acquired it.

 

I was going for a stroll to the forest. Thanks to my new skills, I could venture into the forest quite leisurely. Thus I had explored the forest quite much. By the way, when I explored the forest, I realized that the monster powers would increase as you go deeper inside the forest. I’ve even seen monsters at level around 20. This new discovery was an eye-opener for me.

 

Yesterday I had found a cave with ominous atmosphere so I couldn’t dare to explore it. However today I gathered my courage and decided to explore it.

 

The forest was like typical forests on Earth except there were many different kind of trees I had never seen before. There was specially a tree which quite look like a pine tree from Earth. But its fruit was exceptional. It was a fruit looks like an apple. Its color was sky-blue and its size was comparable my fist. But its taste was quite sour. Thanks to the effect of my unique skill [Sloth], I could identify it. The name of this fruit was <Small Mana Fruit>. Yes, you could guess it from its name. It was recovering your mana up to the 100 points instantly. It also had a small effect of increasing your intelligence a bit. However this tree was at the deepest part of the forest. On the top of that, there was a strong monster protecting it. It was a Dire Wolf King. Its level was 20 which is the highest level I have ever seen since I came to this world. I had once picked up one of the fruits and it had immediately noticed it and started to create a havoc inside the forest. Fortunately thanks to my cheat-like skills I could get away with my life. From that day on, I had never picked up any of it. So a normal human wouldn’t be able to pick up their fruits.

 

After I walked a while, I finally arrived at the mysterious cave. Strangely there were no monsters 100 meters around this cave. It was as if they were afraid of approaching here which was making me quite nervous about it. However curiosity was something you wouldn’t be able to overcome easily. I had confidence in my ninja skills so I gathered my courage and entered the cave. [Presence Concealment] was consuming 1 MP per minutes and I had 208 MP so I could use it actively for a few hours.

 

The cave was getting wider and wider when you went deeper. After I walked around 100 meters, the width of the cave had reached 50 meters. Its height was more than 100 meters. The width of the cave entrance were only around 5 meters and height was around 10 meters. However it was surprisingly not so dark. You could clearly see inside of the cave. That was quite mysterious. There wasn’t any light source which illuminated here. However there was a strange odor inside the cave. Anyway, I didn’t ponder on it much and kept on walking.

 

The strange odor intensified as I walked deeper. After I walked about 15 minutes, the odor turned quite terrible. It was like a smell of a deceased person which gave me a fright. There was a corpse inside the cave? Still I didn’t stopped walking. The cave was still getting wider and wider. The width of the cave must have reached at least 500 meters and its height must have already exceed a few kilometers. I felt like an ant inside this huge space.  

 

As the cave was getting wider and wider, while I was going in deeper and deeper,  I finally reached the end of the cave. However the scenery in front of me was frightening. There were a small mountain of bones standing in front of me. The odor here was unbearable. The bones belong to different kind of spices and there were even many human bones as well. There were many skulls scattered around. While I was in a daze standing there, I heard a notification voice which startled me awake.

 

[You have discovered the Tyrant Dark Wolf’s Lair. ]

 

This was the same notification voice I heard whenever I gained a new skill. I didn’t dare to ask about it to my parents since I was afraid of being treated as a freak. How would I explain it anyway? I don’t think it was normal for a 4-5 years old child to gain skills. So I endured my curiosity. I will probably learn it in the future.

 

More importantly, what should I do now?
