Chapter 4

An old man covered in hood are walking in the middle of the night. His face is solemn and didn’t show much emotion. He is walking in a quick pace accompanied with a man that seemed to be in early twenties and dressed in the same way as the old man.

“Teacher Shu, why are we moving in the middle of the night?”
the young mas asked the old man that he addressed as a teacher.

“Young Hiro, you may not understand but I am disappointed at Blue River City. Our Sky Academy is the best school in west continent, however they didn’t even welcomed us when we’re here to scout potential students. I take that as an offense so there’s no point in staying there any longer.”

Hearing that, the young man named Hiro become silent.

Today, teacher Shu from the Sky Academy, come to the Blue River City as representative to search for
talented youth. Hiro is accompanying him as his assistant. However they aren’t treated well. Usually when Sky Academy representative come to a city to scout for students, many children will come and participated in a test. Sky Academy is one of the best academy in the whole world, getting accepted equal to having a chance to change your fate.

Today, the Blue River City didn’t pay them any attention. Of course the real reason is because the bandit, Blue River duo that causing trouble in the city which couldn’t even be solved by the official. But Shu and Hiro didn’t know about that.

“Blue River City don’t even have a 「Master」rank official. How can they do this to our Sky Academy?”

after he said that, Shu increased his speed. Right now, they are almost reaching out the city outskirt when they suddenly saw a bright pillar of lights towering to the dark sky. The two of them alarmed.

“Teacher Shu, what is that?”

“I don’t know Hiro, but it will be better if we check it out.”

That night, after Ryu buried his mother, he walked towards the bed like a lifeless doll.

This is the bed where he used to sleep with his mother. He stared at it for a long time before suddenly his expression changed.

Severe pains running trough all over his body. As if he was being burned alive. His body itself is emitting a faint layer of gold lights before he finally lost his consciousness.

“Teacher Shu, the light seemed to come from that house.”

“Alright, Hiro, you wait here. I’ll check it.”

Teacher Shu entered the house and how surprised he was when he saw a body of a young boy laying on the ground. The boy body is covered by faint golden light that is forming an oval shape layer. It was like a golden turtle shell. Teacher Shu was stunned. As a teacher at the Sky Academy, he has a vast amount of knowledge. He know what is the phenomenon that happened in front of him.

“This is… the turtle lineage?”

In the beginning, the world is divided into many faction. However, there are four leading family that has special 【Power】running in their lineage. No matter what they do, their offspring will have that 【Power】 and won’t have any other kind of 【Power】.

The Dragon Lineage, their 【Power】is the ability to transform one part of their body into a dragon’s. Turning their arm into a dragon’s arm, their body to be covered by dragon’s scale, they are able to change one part of their body to that of a dragon’s.

The Phoenix Lineage, their 【Power】is insanely fast regeneration and fire manipulation. Their regeneration is able to save their live even if their limbs were cut off. Their fire manipulation skill is able to turn their enemy into ashes.

The White Tiger Lineage, their 【Power】is enormous speed and strength. You couldn’t defeat something you couldn’t touch and when you’re touched by them, that’s the moment you meet your ends.

The Turtle Lineage, their 【Power】is barrier and defense. No matter what you do, no one can break their defense.

However the four family has one similarity. Each of their lineage, only have one righteous heir. The heir will have 【Power】surpassing the other in the family. Their ability is stronger than the rest of the family. Only when they are dead, a new heir will be born. No one can mistake the heir with any other descendants since they have one special characteristic. Golden lights, will come out when they used their power.

The four family power is opposing to each other so the balance of the battle was always maintained. The dominating dragon lineage couldn’t kill the fast regenerating phoenix lineage, couldn’t compete to the white tiger lineage and couldn’t break the turtle lineage.

The phoenix lineage, aside from their undying body and strong fire, they couldn’t harm any of the other family. Dragon scales blocked their fire, they couldn’t touch the white tiger and they couldn’t break the turtle defense.

The white tiger, speed was untouchable but their power couldn’t break open the dragon’s scale, their speed isn’t fast enough to kill of phoenix regeneration and they couldn’t do anything to the turtle.

The turtle on the other hand, can only defended themselves without no means of attack.

That is why, one day the dragon, phoenix, and white tiger for one time make an alliance to eliminate the turtle. The history recorded that since that day the turtle lineage perished. The alliance broken down once again but still they are now in the same stalemate. They don’t want to create another alliance since not long after the battle, the heir of the dragon lineage was assassinated. There is a chance that the same thing will happened again since the assassin most likely a spy that is snuggled in when they are working together. So, the situation once again come into a three way tug o war.

The great battle happened nine years ago. At that time, Ryu’s mother is the heir of turtle lineage. The main reason the other three family attacked them is because Ryu’s mother weak constitution. When the battle happened, fate played its part. Ryu’s father is the heir of the dragon lineage. They first saw each other on the battlefield and they fall in love in the first sight. However their family background make it impossible to be together.

That’s why, when the great battle occurred, Ryu’s father ran away with Ryu’s mother. The dragon family know about this fact and not long after that, his father is killed because the dragon family will need a new heir. However the dragon family is in the dark about the existence of Ryu’s mother. They believed that at that day, Ryu’s father ran away because he was weak, softhearted and opposed the elder decision to eliminate the turtle lineage. They firmly believed that the turtle lineage is no longer existed. No one know about this fact. Not even Ryu. The secret was protected by his father and mother until their death.

The reason Ryu house that is located in the outskirt isn’t raided by 『Mythical beast』is because of his mother 【Power】. Now after his mother is gone, the turtle lineage is seeking for a new heir.

Teacher Shu was stunned. What happened in front of him is something that isn’t possible to happen. If the world know about it, there will be a big uproar. He was shocked, standing still while looking at the shining little boy.
